Bev lives in Bradwell – on – Sea in an end of terrace cottage where the original door wasn’t really in keeping with the overall appearance of the cottage. Bev made the decision to change it for something more aesthetically pleasing.
Bev comments – I knew wanted a new front door that was going to heighten the overall appearance of my cottage but apart from that I didn’t really know where to start.
Bev contacted local company Daylight Installations and from their Bev was introduced the Residence Collection Composite door by Solidor.
* Residence Collection Composite doors are a stunning range of industry leading, 62mm solid timber core composite doors wrapped in the beautifully bespoke R9 door frame.
Bev adds – I was immediately impressed by the Residence Collection Door, they ooze quality and the woodgrain appearance was exactly what I wanted. I also liked the fact that the door has a 62mm solid timber core as security and thermal efficiency were high on my list of priorities.
Bev chose the Flint 1 door style in luxury Painswick with matching frame and chrome furniture fittings to complete the look. You’ll see from the image that this colour is very subtle and works really well will with the light rendering on the cottage and the canopy above the door.
Bev continues – Daylight installations have been wonderful from start to finish. I ordered the door with a key/key cylinder but now that it’s been fitted I’ve decided that I want to replace this with a thumbturn so that I don’t have to use a key on the inside. Daylight installations will be changing this for me this week so even the after service is exceptional. I would definitely recommend both companies to friends and family.
