Adam and his family live in a 1970’s style mid terrace house in the quaint village of Kirtlington, just outside of Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Adam is in the midst of a full house renovation after recently moving in. As well as having new flush windows and a new conservatory, replacing the front door was a high priority.
Functionally there was nothing wrong the original front door, it just looked very dated. I wanted to replace it as soon as we moved in, as I felt that it would have a major effect on the overall appearance of the house.
Adam contacted Prescot Door and Window Centre in Liverpool as they came highly recommended by a family member. Despite the 150 mile distance though, Prescot were happy to assist.
Prescot have worked on projects for family members in the past so we know that they were going to a fantastic job. They gave Solidor the highest recommendation, which to us spoke volumes. Prescot know every inch of the Solidor range and were so helpful with all the questions that we had.
Adam chose a Painswick Flint 2 with traditional furniture. Looking at the pictures you’ll see how well it works with the brickwork of Adams home.
The colour range from Solidor is really extensive, but we knew that we wanted a pale grey colour because we thought that it would work really well with the limestone brickwork. Painswick was exactly what we wanted.
Now that the work has been completed, we love our new Solidor. It fits perfectly with the style of our home and is in keeping with the rest of Village.
One of the biggest changes has been our property’s ability to retain heat. It’s also always reassuring to know you have a solid front door.
From first inspection through to completion, Prescot Door and Window Centre have been fantastic. We’ve even put my sister in touch with them. She’s having her new Solidor fitted next week.
