Real homes, real people, real doors
Christmas is a time for giving, and shooting our latest TV advert during the festive season presented the perfect opportunity to find two people looking for their very own bespoke front door. Enter Sharon and Sally.
Sharon lives with her family in Leeds, and their home is often hired for filming and photography shoots. They were approached and selected by the production agency we used for our advert – as was Sally, who also lives with her family in Leeds.
Despite having vastly different homes, Sharon and Sally could create a door to perfectly suit their tastes using our door designer.
Sharon’s modern, detached five-bedroom family home was the perfect match for our Italia range. She chose a sleek Palermo in Anthracite Grey, with brushed aluminium hardware and our contemporary Italia 800mm handle.
In contrast, Sally’s four-bedroom home is a traditional Victorian build that she is sympathetically refurbishing in keeping with its period, but with some modern touches. Being mid-renovation when she was selected for the advert meant it was an ideal time for a new front door.
To complement her period property, Sally was searching for a more traditional-looking door, but with all the benefits of a modern composite; the original wooden door was extremely draughty and did not efficiently insulate the long hallway.
She opted for a stunning Peacock Blue Edinburgh Solidor with a uniquely contrasting Buttercup Yellow interior that brightens her home.
Working with Alexander Windows
We worked with Stockport-based Alexander Windows – one of our approved installers – to fit Sharon’s new Solidor. As a family-run business, Alexander Windows prides itself on providing a trustworthy, reliable service.
Two of their most experienced installers, Ross Corbett and Graham Stubbs, pulled out all the stops to ensure the door was installed in time for the filming of the advert last month.
