The Contemporary Italia collection from Solidor is a range of 19 beautifully crafted door styles inspired by the Italian passion for design.
We’ve picked out 4 of our most popular Italia door styles to give you some inspiration, and to help you when it comes to choosing your new Solidor.
The Milano – Our most popular contemporary door style. This eye-catching design features four glazed panels and a tongue and groove effect, making it a combination of both old and new. The Milano looks great in the colour of the moment; Anthracite Grey. Try matching it with a stainless steel bar handle from our designer hardware range to complete the look.
The Palermo – Great if you want to add additional privacy to the front of your home. The Palermo features horizontal panels, giving it a clean and simplistic finish. For added elegance go for a wood finish like Walnut or Irish oak and an ES3 400mm bar handle.
The Brescia – The clean and minimalistic features of the Brescia gives a burst of sophisticated to any entranceway. It’s no wonder that the Brescia is becoming a modern classic! This door style also features the tongue and groove effect with the addition of a full length glazed unit, so it’s perfect if you want to brighten up your hallway.
The Brescia is also very versatile, it can be made to fit widths of 600mm to 1013mm – so it’s ideal for most spaces!
The Pisa – A modern take on traditional nautical style door. The Pisa features two half moon shaped glazed units. Vintage colours like Chartwell Green and Duck Egg Blue work well with this style. If you’re wanting to carry on with the nautical theme then the ES24 curved handle is a great accompaniment to the Pisa. This door style also works really well as a stable door.
Amalfi – Modern in its appearance with the authentic feel of real wood, the Amalfi brings with it a contemporary take on cottage charm. The Amalfi features a full length central glazed panel. To keep it simple go for a textured glass like Warwick or for something a little out of the ordinary take a look at the futuristic Matrix design. This glass has laser-cut stainless steel elements incorporated into a modern, polished zinc, linear design.
If you’re limited for space then the Italia styles look great as a single doors, but if you’ve got the room go for double the doors and double the impact with a Solidor French Door!
