Mrs Cannell has lived in her home on the North Downs in Kent for eight years. Ever since moving in, the wind had rattled through her front door, whistled along the hall and blown open the door to her lounge. “The old timber front door was rotten and the single glazed panel was very flimsy,” she told us.
Recently Mrs Cannell decided enough was enough and visited Eden Windows for new front and utility doors. “I had no idea how much doors would cost,” she explained. “I went to one local showroom but was disappointed with the quality of their composite doors – they looked plastic and didn’t feel very secure. I then visited Eden Windows, who we used six years ago for our conservatory – as soon as I walked in and saw a Solidor in Duck Egg blue I knew my new doors had to be a Solidor.
“Eden Windows had a really good selection of Solidor doors on display and I was very impressed, particularly with the very stylish Italia Collection and with the beautiful options for glass, especially the Victorian styles,” continued Mrs Cannell. “The high standard of quality was obvious and the appearance was just perfect.”
Mrs Cannell opted for an Anthracite Solidor Grey Flint on the utility door and a Solidor Genoa in Duck Egg Blue on the Front of the house. On the day of the installation she was thrilled with the service from Eden Windows: “The workmen were brilliant,” she said. And once the job was complete, she couldn’t have been happier: “My new front door is superb. Solidor really does make the best doors since sliced bread.”
Now protected from the bad weather by her new Solidor, Mrs Cannell finally feels cosy in her home. “The door fits really well, the house is warmer and I also feel more secure,” she said. “My partner didn’t believe that a new door would stop the strong gales getting in from the Downs, but I was confident in my decision and I’m pleased to say that the house is now draught-free. I would recommend Solidor to anyone who wants a front door, in fact, I already have!”
