As part of a new initiative here at Solidor to bring our staff closer to our valued installers and customers we’re going to be introducing key members of staff via our blog, one every month. This month we got Director Lee Williams to answer a few questions about his time and role at Solidor and about himself in general. It’s important to us that people can put names to faces and we hope that this monthly feature will help to bring us even closer to the installers and customers that are key to Solidor’s success.
Here’s what Lee had to say:
1) Name and Job Role:
Lee Williams, Director
2) How many years have you worked at Solidor?
Since 2007
3) Which is your favourite Solidor range? and why?
Milano, this is our modern classic, especially as we were first to introduce the Italia collection. In anthracite grey or schwarzbraun with matching frame and es3 handle, there isn’t a better looking door in my opinion.
4) Proudest moment/ achievement at Solidor?
Overall, just to be part of the story from almost the beginning to now, is an incredible journey. Also I remember sitting at home as the G13 awards were taking place and we were up for retail campaign of the year, my wife was expecting our second child, which is why I wasn’t there, but felt extremely proud when the team got in touch to say that we’d won.
4) What does an average day for you consist of at Solidor HQ?
There isn’t an average day! Every day is different which is what I love about it. I get involved in everything.
5) Hobbies and Interests:
skiing, watching football and formula 1, listening to music, eating out and spending time with my young family.
6) Which football (or other sports) team do you support?
Enjoy watching premiership football, I’m a neutral.
7) What would be your dream car?
I’m a fan of Aston Martins, but also the not so obvious Alfa Romeo 8c
8) If you could have any celebrity or public figure purchase a Solidor composite door for their home, who would it be? and why?
David Cameron for no.10 ! Isn’t this the most photographed door?!
So there you have it, Lee is Milano fan with a passion for football, music, formula 1 and his family with dreams of seeing a Solidor in place at 10 Downing Street! Next month we’ll be asking our Operations Director, Pierre a few questions.
