They’re already the most beautiful designer composite doors in the UK, but there are ways of accessorising your Solidor to make it look even more spectacular.
You do of course have the option to decorate it with countless styles of door furniture and decorative glass to give it a distinctive personality. Going that step further though to make an impressive first impression won’t go unnoticed by people and will give them a lasting memory of your property.
1. Roll out the “Welcome” doormat
It’s important to give visitors the warmest and friendliest welcome possible before they’ve stepped over the threshold. Nothing says “come on in” more than a “Welcome” doormat placed on the floor outside your home.
You can buy all sorts of Welcome doormats nowadays; including novelty doormats if you want it to reflect your sense of humour and put a smile on the faces of guests, or you could even have it specially customised to say something like “Welcome to the xxxx household”.
They’ll also help reduce the chances of muddy feet blotting the appearance of your carpet or hard flooring.
2. Lighting
Exterior lighting will help draw people’s eyes towards your Solidor at night, so perhaps consider fitting wall lights either side of the door.
A single wall lantern or dual wall lanterns either side of the design always look the part and will emphasise the stylishness of the door after sunset.
Utilising fluorescent, incandescent, halogen or LED bulbs, ornamental wall lanterns also act as a security measure.
3. Flowers
Spring is just around the corner. Tulips, daffodils, hyacinth and crocuses are amongst the top flowering bulbs in spring.
Why not plant them early in a matching pair of flower pots and place them either side of the door. Once they blossom they will stimulate the entranceway décor. Continue to plant or buy flowers reflective of the seasons throughout the year.
The scent alone will drive the senses wild.
