Deck the doors!
December calls for Tinsel, baubles and all the fairy lights! The lead up to Christmas is well and truly on, the milestones of Halloween and Bonfire night have been and gone, now it’s time to blow away the cobwebs and transform your space into a winter wonderland with Solidor.
But decking up for Christmas can be a contentious issue…when is the right time to start putting up Christmas decorations? How much is too much? Do you opt for a real tree or get the trusty artificial one out of the loft? And the most important one for us here at Solidor, to wreath or not to wreath?
Now our Solidor skins are made of strong stuff, specifically ABS, the same durable plastic as LEGO, which means the entire skin is made of a solid colour, so any scratches experienced are practically hidden, but hanging a wreath on a door still poses the threat of receiving the unwanted scratches and compromising the beautiful wood grain aesthetic of your Solidor.
So, we have put our heads together and come up with a solution. We have chosen to not wreath but to bow instead! Wrapping an oversized bow around your Solidor is the perfect welcome home gift this festive season.
How to decorate your Solidor?
We recommend being bold and beautiful this Christmas, the traditional rich reds, and deep greens that aren’t difficult to spot this time of year would be the perfect suggestion for your bow, or why not something gold and glittery to spruce up your entrance? Once you’ve decided your colour it’s time to attach it to your door…
To create your own bow on your Solidor in two simple steps:
Step one:
Divide a length of fabric in your chosen colour into three strips; a shorter one just longer than the width of your door, and two longer strips each the same length as your door.
Step two:
Secure each piece to the back of the door from inside, tying the longer sections together over the shorter piece to create a bow.
And there you have it, your own Christmas creation worthy of any Solidor.
