Colour of the Month – Duck Egg Blue

March 21st 2017

Following dreary winter rain and frosty mornings we’re welcoming springtime with open arms. And with Easter being just around the corner our colour of the month is Duck Egg Blue.

This hue is not a single colour, it’s a mixture of watery green and blue that has a subtle and delicate appearance.

This colour was first developed in the 1990s and is reminiscent of the French Rococo movement, and initially became popular within Swedish household, where homeowners would regularly apply it to their walls.   But we think it looks great on doors too.

Duck egg blue is a versatile colour that lends itself well to both traditional and contemporary properties as well as door styles.  Try adding chrome furniture which looks great as a contrast and a decorative glass design which will really set your entrance apart from the rest.

BRITISH STANDARD RANGE 4800/5252 REF 20-C-33
