Solidor Colour of the Month
Chartwell Green
Solidor offers a range of beautiful shades to choose from – an industry leading 20 in total!
As we sit on the cusp of Spring our colour of the month is Chartwell Green. This shade, from our luxury range, is much subtler than a conventional green and has a tranquillity to its appearance. The colour symbolises growth, renewal and rebirth which is appropriate for this time of year.
Chartwell Green takes its name from the country home of Sir Winston Churchill, Chartwell House in Kent.
Churchill and his wife Clementine painted the garden furniture this colour. It was later matched by the National Trust in conjunction with a famous paint manufacturer and marketed in the National Trust Heritage Range. It is a colour that truly personifies the British Isles.
Chartwell Green is also versatile, becoming increasingly popular with owners of both modern and traditional properties. Furthermore it looks great with either a matching frame or a contrasting colour like cream.
